Role of the Board
The Company’s highest decision-making body is the Board of Directors, with four members. The Board members are the Company’s statutory representatives. The Board coordinates and steers the ALTEO Group, provides direction and defines the Company’s business and development concept. The Board consists of at least three and at most nine natural-person members; it elects its chair from among its members. Board members are elected by the General Meeting for a fixed term.
Attila Chikán’s mandate runs until 30 April 2025; the other Board members’ mandates run until 3 April 2028.

Attila Chikán Jr.
Bio
Attila Chikán Jr has been CEO of ALTEO Plc. since its founding in 2008 and Chair of the Board since spring 2023. Under his leadership ALTEO has grown into one of Hungary’s leading energy companies. Before this he held various finance and investment positions. He obtained his degrees at the Budapest University of Economic Sciences and the College of Foreign Trade. Active on sustainability issues, the CEO is Chair of the Business Council for Sustainable Development Hungary (BCSDH). He is a Supervisory Board member of the Blue Planet Climate Investment Fund Manager Plc. and of the Blue Planet Climate Foundation. He is Chair of the Supervisory Board of AutoWallis Plc. and a Board member of MÁV Start Plc. He is a Supervisory Board member of UNICEF Hungary, the local representative of one of the world’s largest and oldest child-welfare organisations. He sits on the executive of the Sustainability Section of the Hungarian Economic Association and is a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences’ Presidential Committee on Sustainable Development. He runs a sustainability blog, Chikansplanet, as an active thought leader on the topic.
Dr. Bacsa György
Bio
Dr György Bacsa has been a Board member since April 2023. A lawyer and economist, he obtained his degrees at Eötvös Loránd University, Corvinus University of Budapest, and Heidelberg and Duke (USA) universities. He is a capital-markets and transactions expert and senior corporate leader. In the MOL Group he is Managing Director for Strategic Activities and Business Development, an area responsible for leading M&A projects, corporate strategy development, project evaluation, coordinating group-level legal and compliance tasks, venture-capital fund investments and corporate relations, staff functions, regulatory and internal audit activities. From December 2021 he is a member of MOL’s Board and from 2022 also Managing Director of MOL Hungary. Since 2013 he has been a member of the Board of the Budapest Stock Exchange and also serves on the boards or investment committees of Gran Private Equity Plc., Lead Ventures Plc., Market Asset Management Plc. and Alpac East-West Venture Capital. He is a member of the New York Bar and of the arbitration register of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Since 2020 he has been a trustee of the Foundation for Theatre and Film Arts, and since 2021 a trustee of the Foundation for Civic Education, Culture and Science and of the MOL-New Europe Foundation.
Bencsik Ágnes
Bio
Ágnes Bencsik completed her higher-education studies in corporate finance at Corvinus University of Budapest, graduating in 2005. She has over 15 years of professional experience, gained mostly in various positions at the MOL Group. Her career has focused mainly on company acquisitions and coordinating transactions. She currently participates as an expert in the development of several companies.
Mikesy Álmos
Bio
Álmos Mikesy obtained an economics degree in International Economics and Business at Corvinus University in 2009, then completed the joint CUB / Bankárképző specialised programme in bank management, and in 2022 received an MBA from WU Vienna with a specialisation in Entrepreneurship and innovation. He brings over fifteen years of relevant business experience, including significant leadership experience in venture capital, private equity and M&A. He started his career in 2007 at the Hungarian Development Bank as a macroeconomic analyst and then as a project manager. He took part in setting up the bank group’s new fund manager Hiventures Plc., first as Head of Business Development, then Investment Director and finally Deputy CEO. He joined the board of Diófa Fund Manager Plc. in April 2021, also serving for a year as General Deputy CEO. Over recent years he has gained extensive experience as a Supervisory Board member or chair at numerous financial companies. Since 22 February 2023 he is the Chair-CEO of Diófa Fund Manager Plc.
